Cycle Vincent KP16 Screw Press with Horizontal Auger Hopper Optimized
Loading Option
Bokashi
Cycle offers to its clients a Vincent Corporation KP16 screw press
with an optimized feed stock loading option for more efficient
dewatering and control.
Screw
Presses are efficient dewatering units to press and extract liquids
from various types of feed stock allowing operators to separate the
liquids from the remaining solid "cake" formed in a single
operation.
These
dewatering units are able to produce from 500 to 1500 gallons per
hour depending on the water or liquid content of the feed stock and
the screw rate optimization.
The
rate of liquid discharge is dependent upon the turning screw rate and
the amount of pressure applied to the cone end of the machine and
some optimization work needs to be done to work out the ideal
conditions for separating liquid from solids when working with
different materials that are to be dewatered.
The
Vincent KP16 can be operated by top loading feed stock as is
frequently done. With the auger hopper modified option available it
can be run far more efficiently and safely allowing the auger in the
hopper to load feed stock at an optimal rate synchronized with the
KP16 screw throughput for best performance. In so doing problems of
bridging can be minimized or completely avoided.
Since
the auger in the hopper can be reversed, it is possible to back feed
stock out of the KP16 if it is required at any time avoiding down
time related to having to manually unload material in a vertical
loading operation where forward movement has ceased efficient
dewatering. Overloading of the press can be avoided.
