Forest Green - Microcyclette for Compact Homes and Apartments!

Bokashi fermenting systems are 10 times faster than composting and they work all year around. At the end of each day, add all food scraps to the fermenter. Sprinkle the culture mix powder on the surface. Press down with the pressure plate and seal the system to exclude oxygen.

All organic waste including meat and dairy products that can’t be composted are rapidly pickled. The microbes do all the work. When the first fermenter is filled, set it aside to finish the job while the second fermenter is put to use. When the second fermenter is nearly full, empty the first filled fermenter in the garden mixing the pickled waste with soil and covering it over.

You are enriching the natural microbial flora and returning nutrients to the soil. Improving the organic content of soil and restoring the natural soil flora will greatly improve the garden. Use the collected tea 4 tablespoons in 1 gallon of water to further improve the soil and plants.

The tedious labor of composting is eliminated and consumers no longer need to contend with emptying smelly garbage in the trash can. Fermenting your food scraps will eliminate odors, insects, and other pests.

The complete system involves 2, 3.5 gallon cyclettes.

Each fermenter measures individually 12 inches in diameter and stands 12 inches in height. They can be stacked one upon the other to save space.

Excellent!
I started using this in the winter so I could have more compost ready in the Spring than usual. I threw the pre-ferment right into the big outdoor compost bin instead of digging up a trench in the soil and putting the pre-ferment in there for a couple of weeks. This method worked fine and is much easier. I like that I didn’t have to collect and mix in any browns into the regular compost bin. By the end of May I had a lot more compost than usual and no problems with critters or smells. A tip: I do run my food scraps through a food processor before putting in the bokashi bucket but that’s still a lot easier than collecting brown material and turning a regular outdoor compost bin. Another tip: make sure you get the Bokashi bran along the edges of the bucket or you might collect the bad mold on the edges (green/blue). Once I did that I never had a problem. I was very pleased with the product.
